Technical background

VersionConflictError is optimistic concurrency on the event stream. details carries entityId, expectedVersion and currentVersion: the write was based on expectedVersion, but the stream is already at currentVersion.

Read the entity again and retry on top of the current version. A blind retry with the old version fails the same way.
