Technical background
Section titled “Technical background”PlatformBudgetExceededError comes from the enterprise feature ai-foundation. It
fires when a tenant runs AI calls on the platform’s own API key and the token budget
of its tier is used up. details names the bucket (the cap counter) and the
limit. The budget has no known reset time here, so the 429 carries no
Retry-After. A budget that does reset answers with
rate_limited instead, including retryAfterSeconds
and resetAt.
A tenant can keep working by adding its own API key under “AI providers”. See The Assistant.
